Post A Dream
Do I have to be a member to post a dream?
No. You can post your dreams anonymously. Free membership gives you more options to include access to all your posted dreams in your dream diary.

How do I post a dream?
STEP 1: Click the Post A Dream menu link on any page. NOTE: Members should sign in first so their dreams are recored in their Dream Diary.

STEP 2: Select a Dream Category that best represents your dream experience.

STEP 3: Select a Dream Emotion that best represents the overal emotion you had DURING your dream. Try not to mix your waking/post dream feelings with the overal emotion you experienced during your dream.

Example: You dreamt that you were running with a lion in the desert of Africa. An appropriate Dream Category could be Adventure, and your Dream Emotion could be Inspiring.

STEP 4: Select the time of your dream. Usually, this is when you wake up and remember your dream. The time you select should span from when you went to sleep to when you woke up.

STEP 5: Select where you had your dream. A broad range of places are provided to help narrow down where you had your dream. Example: Home/Where I live.

STEP 6: To help track dreams geograpically, select the state you had your dream. In the case of having a dream in an airplane during a flight, choose Not Applicable as your Geographic Location.

STEP 7: Enter your dream as you remember it. Start from the beginning and be as detailed as you like. Your dream text can be a maximum of 5,000 characters.

STEP 8: If you have read and agree to the Service Agreement, check the box and then press Post My Dream Now button.

After I post a dream, I'm shown my dream again with a bunch of links below. What are these?
As soon as you post your dream, DreamerDreamer will automatically attempt to match your just posted dream to other dreams in the database. Just like a search engine, you will be able to click on other people's dreams that are similar to yours. If you are a member, you can comment on those dreams.

How do I perform a basic search?
At the top of every page, you can type in keywords. You can also select a category to help narrow your search results.

How do I perform an advanced search?
Click the Dream Search menu link. You will be presented with an array of choices that will narrow your search results. The advanced search features will allow you to perform AND searches.

Why should I become a member if I can use the site anonymously?
We want dedicated members to be as active on DreamerDreamer as possible. We offer additonal features not granted to anonymous visitors like a personal dream diary, the ability to comment on people's dreams, activity level recognition, and the ability to sign up to be an official beta tester. In the near future, we plan to release a handful of new technologies like real-time dream matching, DreamerDreamer group formation and more!.

How do I cancel my membership?
Log in and click the My Dream Diary Link. At the bottom of the page, you can select to view your membership details. Once you cancel, you dreams will no longer be available through your dream diary.

Dream Books
Do you sell the books listed in the Dream Books section?
No. We have an affiliation with Barnes and Noble's online storefront. We have compiled a list of various books on dreams that can be purchased through Barnes and Noble.

Do you get any profits if I buy one of these books?
Yes. when you use the links provided next to the books from the Dream Books section, Barnes and Noble will recognize that we sent you to their online storefront and we will eventually receive a small percentage of the sale of that book should you purchase it during that particular visit.

Currently, we are not offiliated with anyone listed in this section nor do we endorse their opinions or actions. We provide these links as a curtosy to our visitors so they can surf what we've found on the World Wide Web that relates to dreaming.

My Dream Diary
What is a Dream Diary?
Member's dreams are recorded in their own dream diary. When logged in, you can click the My Dream Diary link at any time to view all your posted dreams.

How am I recognized within the community of DreamerDreamer members?
Member activity is shown using the planets of our solar system. Make your way from Mercury to Pluto by posting more dreams. Site administrators are recognized as the Sun and Authors as Nebulas.
